Alpha-Synuclein Skin Biopsy Testing Linked to Lower Neurology Care Costs

Practical Neurology highlighted research presented at the 7th World Parkinson Congress evaluating neurologic care costs following phosphorylated alpha-synuclein (P-SYN) testing in patients with suspected synucleinopathies.

The poster covered findings from a retrospective analysis presented by CND’s chief scientific officer, Dr. Christopher Gibbons; chief medical officer, Dr. Todd Levine; and co-founder, Dr. Roy Freeman, evaluating changes in diagnostic testing, imaging, and referrals following incorporation of P-SYN testing into clinical care.1
