CND Life Sciences’ Chief Medical Officer to Present at AANEM Annual Meeting

Dr. Todd Levine, CND Life Sciences’ Co-Founder and CMO, will speak at the product presentation theater at the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) annual meeting this month. His talk, “In-Office Cutaneous Testing for Pure Autonomic Failure and Other Synucleinopathies: Introducing the Syn-One Test™,” will be held Friday, October 15 at 3:40 pm MST.

The mission of the AANEM is to improve the lives of patients with muscle and nerve disorders and advance the science of these diseases. Pure autonomic failure, caused by the accumulation of the protein alpha-synuclein, is a rare neurodegenerative disease that affects the autonomic nervous system. The hallmark symptom is orthostatic hypotension. It can also cause fatigue, sleep disorders, and problems with bowel and bladder control. Symptoms worsen over time, and pure autonomic failure can develop into Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, or multiple system atrophy.

The Syn-One Test aids in the diagnosis of pure autonomic failure and other synucleinopathies by providing objective, pathological proof of the accumulation of alpha-synuclein in nerve fibers in the skin.

The AANEM annual meeting will be held in Aurora, Colorado, October 13-16, 2021. CND Life Sciences will also have representatives available in the exhibit hall at Booth 519.
