A CLEARER PATH TO DIAGNOSIS
Even when nerve conduction studies are normal, your patients may still have an isolated small fiber neuropathy. With Small-Fiber Dx, clinicians gain objective evidence of reduced intraepidermal nerve fiber density (IENFD) to confirm a diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy.

Count on Us
Using a convenient, minimally invasive skin punch biopsy performed in your office, you can feel confident in gaining objective evidence for patients with unexplained neuropathic symptoms.
Reliable – CND’s Small-Fiber Dx test uses proprietary immunofluorescent techniques to provide detailed quantification of intraepidermal nerve fiber density.
Convenient – A simple skin biopsy procedure can be completed in less than 15 minutes in your office.
A Path Forward – Objective evidence of reduced IENFD helps you identify the underlying cause of your patients neuropathic symptoms.
Test kits are available at no charge, are shelf-stable for one year, and biopsies are shipped at room temperature to our CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Normative values are based on age, sex, and biopsy location.
Using hematoxylin and eosin staining, CND can diagnose dermatologic conditions that can mimic neuropathic symptoms, such as pruritus, pain, and discoloration.
Using highly specialized Congo red staining, CND can also detect the presence of amyloid, which can cause neuropathy and dysautonomia.
